Description: I used a plain backdrop, and Christmas lights to make the bokah effect. To make the bokah effect with crosses all we had to do what cut out a little shape of a cross in paper and put it over the lense. By doing this it created the cross shaped lights. To make the lights fall into the cup it added direction, and to create the bokah effect I used a shallow depth of field. By using a shallow depth of field it kept the cups in focus, and made the lights seem as though they were trickling down.
Subject
While taking a subject photo you have to make sure that whatever your subject is that it's in focus. Along with keeping your subject in focus you don't want the background to be too distracting. When people look at the picture you want the first thing for them to see is the subject of your picture.
